Prudence Tarte was known to everyone as “Auntie Cookie.” She built her late husband’s bakery business into a multi-million-dollar enterprise. Renowned for her love of children, it was no surprise that she adopted four: two boys and two girls. She lavished them with everything – except their independence. Valentine’s Day, the day they were adopted, became their official birthday. She gave each a pet name – a name she changed legally. She loved having clothes made especially for them – lots of lace, hearts, and frills. She called them her “living dolls.” People wondered how they could endure such treatment. Maybe inheriting millions would be motivation. When the local broadcast broke the story, the speculation began. Auntie Cookie had been found dead in her bedroom. The medical examiner called it murder. Were her children murderers? Written & produced by Gary Banker. Performed by Murder Mystery INK. Multi-course dinner catered by Rich’s Cuisine. BYOB: Bring your own beer or white/rosé wine (no red please). Event is sold out.
